Distinguished art-anthropologist and curator Dr. Eberhard Fischer was awarded the Padma Shri (one of India’s highest civilian honours) by the President of India on April 04, 2012. Swiss Ambassador Dr. Linus von Castelmur hosted a reception in honour of Padma Shri Dr. Fischer on April 05. The evening witnessed a galaxy of distinguished guests gathered to congratulate Dr. Fischer. Renowned musician and vocalist Mrs. Vidya Shah performed on the occassion.

Mr. Werner E. Nievergelt, Consul General of Switzerland in Mumbai together with the President of Alliance Française Mr. Vishnu V. Mujumbar and Mr. Luc Didon, Director of Alliance Française inaugurated Rock the Sun: Solar Music Concert in Pune on March 18, 2012. More than 250 people attended the concert in the Garden of the Taj - Blue Diamond Hotel in Pune, with Vialka and could see the Solar sound System of Cédric Carles.

Topten is an information system for energy efficient consumer goods (appliances, electronics, building components, motor vehicles). Its goal is to speed up and focus the market transformation for energy efficient consumer goods. It is planned to set up a national “Topten India” platform and likely to be publicly launched in late 2013.
